Alvaro, Jones, Pinckney honored as industry change agents

Three of GMR’s leaders have been named 2019 Top Women in Sports by Cynopsis Media! The awards celebrate women who are pushing the industry forward, from roles in all levels of production, technology, marketing and more.

Top Women in Sports honorees are change agents who empower and inspire with their drive for innovation and inclusion and we’re proud to have three of these trailblazers at GMR.

Mariana Alvaro, VP of Digital Products, has been honored in the Technology category. A proven leader in the global sports event space, she translates her knowledge and skill into digital solutions that allow GMR to differentiate and innovate around program design for global sporting clients. Mariana has been integral to the creation and execution of tech-focused solutions at marquee sporting events around the world.

Elke Jones, Chief Strategy Officer, has been recognized in the Marketing category as a progressive industry mind who embraces and addresses the changing sports landscape head on—not relying on traditional ways of sports marketing. Her team is constantly finding new and contemporary pathways to create meaningful experiences through sponsorship—the implementation and measurement of which is changing the way GMR’s clients activate and invest in sports.

And honored in the Social Media category is Lesley Pinckney, SVP of Digital + Social. Lesley has combined her marketing expertise and love of sports to deliver a myriad of innovative, successful social campaigns and influencer programs across the world of sport. She pushes her team to reimagine how they leverage social data to get smarter about how people behave on social around sporting events.

Congratulations Mariana, Elke and Lesley!
