New GMR President

Tyson Webber succeeds Craig Connelly, Connelly steps down after celebrated career

Webber joined GMR over a decade ago, and has helped many of our global clients amplify their brands through sports, music, entertainment and lifestyle initiatives. His work has touched properties spanning the Olympics, Super Bowl, World Cup, Sundance Film Festival and SXSW.

“Tyson’s talent and expertise have set him apart since day one,” said Cameron Parsons, CEO of GMR. “He’s an unfaltering leader, a trusted partner to our clients and an inspiring visionary.”

As President, Webber will be responsible for guiding GMR’s strategic growth, managing key client relationships and overseeing business operations in North America. He will work closely with a network of counterparts in South America, EMEA and Asia.

“GMR has evolved significantly in the time that I’ve been with the agency,” said Webber. “We’ve established ourselves as a world-class digital, creative and strategic resource for some of the most significant brands in the world. I’m honored to continue the spirit of leadership and innovation that Craig has fostered for so many years.”

Craig Connelly will continue to work closely with GMR in a senior advisory role throughout 2016.

“GMR’s ability to effectively evolve and adapt its leadership structure has always been crucial to the quality of work we deliver to clients around the world,” he said. “I have no doubt that Tyson will continue to help GMR deliver the most creative, impactful and engaging marketing programs in the world.”

Since joining GMR from Miller Brewing Company in 2002, Connelly has played a central role in GMR’s expansion across the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, the development of our global sports and entertainment consulting practice and the acquisition of key global clients. He has also been a driving force behind the addition of our research, strategy, ideation, digital and mobile practices.

“GMR is deeply committed to both its clients and its employees,” added Dale Adams, Chairman and CEO of the DAS Group of Companies. “We look forward to supporting Tyson on many successes to come, and congratulate Craig on his tremendous contributions to the organization.”

Webber will continue to be based out of GMR’s global headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. GMR has 17 offices in nine countries across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
