We took Nissan’s beloved Heisman House college football TV spots and invited the world inside.
Several football legends move into a mansion together, and hijinks ensue: that’s the premise of Nissan’s popular, long-running Heisman House TV spots. When GMR joined the project, we planned to build a pop-up mansion and bring it to campuses nationwide. But the pandemic made a live tour impossible. We needed to pivot.
From the beginning, we wanted to take the Nissan Heisman House story and make it something that college football fans could experience for themselves. We still did that! Just virtually.
Fans worked their way up the leaderboard with three original video games that were created in-house.
Oh yeah, remember that touring pop-up mansion we mentioned? It’s packed with gaming experiences, photos ops, celebrity DJs and more, and it’s starting to tour college campuses in late 2021.
Two production crews worked under Covid-safe conditions to capture content for VR, AR, digital and social. Meanwhile, our digital wizards created picture-perfect 3D models of the Heisman trophy, Nissan vehicles and more.
