Comcast Brings Home the Hardware
GMR client Comcast has just been named by the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) as a double gold medal winner, as well as silver medal winner, in the 2012 Mark Awards, which celebrate the cable and telecom industry’s best work.
Congratulations, Comcast, on this wonderful industry recognition! We’re proud to have partnered on yet another round of award-worthy campaigns. Thanks also to our collaborative colleagues at Digitas, with whom we partnered to bring the XFINITY Couch campaign to life.
The winning work includes:
Comcast University – Gold Winner: Acquisition and Upgrade Marketing – Multimedia Campaign. A blend of engagement marketing, media placements, and social media dialogue, Comcast University helped Comcast maintain relationships with college students despite the fluidity of their living arrangements. The program reached millions of students nationwide and generated phenomenal leads and signups for Comcast services.
XFINITY Couch Launch – Gold Winner: Acquisition and Upgrade Marketing – TV Promo. XFINITY Couch established XFINITY as the best sports viewing experience in cable by creating—literally—the best seat in the house (the XFINITY Couch) for the most live sports, and surprising fans at stadiums and arenas across the country. This campaign drove a concrete increase in Comcast subscribers and strong improvements in Comcast’s sports-centric image.
XFINITY Couch Super Bowl – Silver Winner: Acquisition and Upgrade Marketing – Multimedia Campaign. Finishing second only to the Comcast University campaign in this category, the XFINITY Couch invaded Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, touting Comcast’s message of providing the most Super Bowl content available.
